LET US EDUCATE YOU!

If you're new to the world of diamonds, we are happy to take the time with you and each customer to teach the anatomy and market of diamonds.

When finding the perfect diamond, there are many factors to consider. There are four categories that are used to characterize a diamond: cut, clarity, color, and carat. These are known as the “Four C’s”. You should consider and be educated on all of these characteristics when choosing your perfect diamond. See the provided GIA chart below for a better understanding.

GIA 4 C's

Clarity:

The clarity of a diamond is determined by how many inclusions it has. An inclusion is an imperfection in the stone. When a diamond has fewer inclusions it becomes rarer.

Cut:

The cut of the diamond is determined by how well it reflects the light. With a better cut, the diamond shines more and has better brilliance.

Carat:

The weight of the diamond is measured in carats.

Color:

The color grade of a diamond is determined by how white it is. The whitest diamonds are graded “D color”. The colors follow through the alphabet with the diamond becoming more yellow and brown further down the alphabet.
