Tip #1: Avoid sleeping in your jewelry

As crazy as it sounds, bed sheets are really rough on your gold jewelry! Even though bed sheets are soft to us, they act almost like sandpaper in the way that they wear down prongs. We recommend you take off your ring and put it in a safe place before bed! Extra tip: always put it in the same place so you won’t have to worry about losing it!

Tip #2: Don’t exercise in your jewelry

Jewelry made today is created to show off, which sometimes makes them less durable in comparison to earlier years. Because of this, we recommend you remove your jewelry before lifting weights and exercising. The added weight and stress on the jewelry can cause it to bend, lose its shape, and sometimes even break! Because we don’t want you losing any of your precious stones or breaking your jewelry we recommend that you remove your jewelry before exercising.

Tip #3: Avoid doing housework and chores in your jewelry

Housework and chores can be rigorous and very physical jobs. Because of that, we recommend you remove your jewelry before doing housework. That way you can avoid knocking it, catching it, bending it, and damaging it in any other way!

Tip #4: Frequent cleanings and inspections

Here at Fadel’s Fine Jewelry we offer free cleanings on any of your fine jewelry, even if you didn’t buy it from us! We also offer free inspections on any jewelry as well. This means we’ll take a look at your prongs, stones, and any concerns you might have. You’re always welcome to bring any of your fine jewelry in to get inspected and cleaned free of charge.

If you want something that you can do yourself at home, we recommend stopping in to pick up a cleaning solution for yourself! It comes with a cleaning tray to safely take the jewelry in and out of the container as well as a brush to get into all the small areas of the ring! If you do decide to take care of cleaning your ring at home we recommend bringing it in at least once a year to get inspected so you can wear it with confidence that every thing is secure!
